Command Sgt. Maj. Ronald Krause, U.S. Army

Command Sergeant Major Ronald Krause is a Cyberspace and Electromagnetic Activities (CEMA) Senior Non-Commissioned Officer, with over 27 years in the Army. He was born in Geneva Township, Wisconsin and enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1995 as a SIGINT Analyst. He completed Basic Training at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri, and is a graduate of USASMA, Sergeants Major Course, Class 66. CSM Krause has served in a variety of Intelligence and Cyber positions throughout his career. Over the last 18 years, he specifically focused on Intelligence and Cyber support to operations and the development of Soldiers, Civilians and training, for the future of the Cyber Mission Force.

CSM Krause recently completed his tour with the 780th MI Brigade (Cyber) as the fifth Command Sergeant Major for the brigade. His previous assignments include Senior Enlisted Advisor for J38 at USCYBERCOM; the first CSM for the Cyber Training Battalion, 15th Signal Brigade; Operations Sergeant Major, JFHQ-C, Army Cyber; 1SG, MICO, STB, 2 BCT, 1st AD; 35Q Life Cycle Manager, OCMI; Deputy Lead, Cyber Capabilities Branch, 704th MI BDE; Senior Enlisted Army Representative and Training Developer, JCAC, Corry Station, Florida; Graduate Level Intern, CNODP, NSA with tours at NSA Red Team, WHCA, DC3, DIA, and NSA's SID; Team lead, 704th MI Brigade; Cyber Operator, 704th MI BDE; SIGINT NCOIC, Detachment Digby; C2 NCOIC, 101st MI Battalion, 1st ID; HUMINT Analyst, 1st ID; All Source Analyst, 132nd FSB; ADP team lead, 66th MI Group; All Source Analyst, 101st MI BN, 1st ID; SIGINT Analyst, 66th MI Group, TF Falcon.

CSM Krause's deployments include tours to Bosnia, Kosovo, and Iraq. CSM Krause's military education includes: All levels of PME required for BDE; Information Assurance and Computer Network Defense (levels I and II); CNODP, SNIP class 2008. His civilian education includes associate degree in Intelligence Operations from Cochise College; Baccalaureate in Information Technology, with a focus in Computer Forensics from American Intercontinental University; and a Masters in Defense and Strategic Studies (Cyber Security focus) from the University of Texas, El Paso.

His awards and decorations include Legion of Merit, Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Meritorious Service Medal (5th Award), Army Commendation Medal Award (5th Award), Joint Service Achievement Medal, Army Achievement Medal (2nd Award), Army Good Conduct Medal (9th Award), National Defense Service Medal (with bronze service star), Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, Kosovo Campaign Medal, Iraq Campaign Medal (with bronze service star), Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Armed Forces Service Medal, Noncommissioned Officer Professional Development Ribbon (5th Award), Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon (3rd Award), NATO Medal (with bronze service star), Army Superior Unit Award, and the Austrian Sports Badge (Silver).
