Statement - 27 April 2019

Protecting the integrity of the U.S. electoral process is critical to the defense of our democracy. Between 30 August 2018 and 28 March 2019, the Department of Defense, in coordination with other supporting Combatant Commands and relevant U.S. government interagency partners, conducted operations, including military information support operations, to protect the integrity of the 2018 U.S. mid-term elections. USCYBERCOM focused the majority of its efforts on the Internet and took appropriate measures to avoid any impacts on U.S. persons, businesses, entities, and journalists. DoD operated in coordination with supporting Combatant Commands and relevant U.S. government interagency partners to reduce the effectiveness of our adversaries' malign activities and remains postured to conduct similar operations to defend against adversary interference and protect the integrity of our nation's future elections.
